MISSION - Elk Photo

Vet Healing Adventures mission is to give back a little by providing a safe social environment for our disabled veterans to enjoy some fellowship and participate in an outdoor activity. Our focus is on the fellowship with unique hunting, fishing and other outdoor adventures.

It is our experience that a social, adventure opportunity offers a unique healing environment where disabled veterans are welcome and supported, one where they can discover hope through our passion for the outdoors, no matter what struggles they are managing physically or emotionally.

Program

Vet Healing Adventures is founded to give back a little by providing a safe social environment for our disabled veterans to enjoy some fellowship and participate in an outdoor activity. Our focus is on the fellowship with unique hunting, fishing, and other outdoor adventures.
Working with Local and state agencies, landowners, and volunteers, we offer custom adventures designed for the unique needs of each disabled veteran – our program is designed to enrich the lives of our disabled veterans by build lasting memories and enduring friendships.
In Wyoming, we have Partnered with the Wyoming Game and Fish, specifically using their Licensing for Veterans Program – This program allows donated big game license to be reissued to a disabled veteran – Vet Healing Adventures then matches a veteran with a license, provides volunteer guide services, travel assistance if necessary, and all other gear, up to and including some game processing, room and board if required. The idea is that this experience should prove to be a positive one without the worries of the logistics.

Currently, there is over 21 million veterans living in the United States. More than 925,000 of them are disabled to some extent. Vet Healing Adventures is proud to honor our disabled veterans from current and past conflicts with unique adventure opportunities designed to show our appreciation, and gratitude for all they have done to keep us safe. We achieve this by offering a safe environment to share fellowship and experiences as an opportunity to heal.

Founders

A small group of patriotic, Wyoming native, avid outdoors men and, disabled veterans, all Wyoming natives founded Vet Healing Adventures after serving in another organization where we all felt that the reason for doing what we do was lost on some.

Jason Wilson – A 5th generation Wyoming native and successful businessman that simply wants to help disabled Veterans know their value to the rest of us.
Brandy Crotteau – A Wyoming native girl, who loves the outdoors and has a talent for keeping the group on track.
Oscar Lawson – A Wyoming native with a passion for the outdoors and enjoys giving back.
Larry Allen – A Wyoming native with a flare for politics currently serving as a County Commissioner for Fremont County.
Mike McCoy – A Purple hear recipient, Navy Veteran, who proudly served in Vietnam.
Kevin Reiman – A local Sheriff Deputy and a Wyoming Native that simply enjoys taking people hunting.

Team

It’s never said enough. But we need to remember to offer sincere thanks to all the community volunteers and the Vet Healing Adventures team who continue to devote their time and financial support to provide unique outdoor experiences for our nation’s disabled veterans.

This experience has been a much needed positive force in my life recently. I can’t say enough about the generous folks in Lysite Wyoming with the Vet Healing Adventures, they truly made an impact in my life with friendships and the adventure of a lifetime.
